José Bravo is Associate Profesor at Castilla-La Mancha University (Spain), PhD in Industrial Engineering of Distance Education University (1999). He is the director of MamI Research Lab (MamI) since 2003.

The focus of Bravo’s research interest is natural interaction through identification technologies (RFID and NFC) by means of tagging context and tagging awarenes with passive tags. The second area is Mobile Computing applied to e-Health and Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) with solutions for vital signs monitoring, rehabilitation, physical activity recognition, frailty, augmented reality and others. He has served as general chair of UCAmI and IWAAL events.
